Enabling network access

Enable network access to download required files or let your students interact with the internet.

You can enable network access in your AutoTest configuration so that you as a teacher, or your students in their handed in code, can access and interact with the internet. Network access is disabled by default for all AutoTest categories, for security reasons. Follow these steps to turn it on for a specific AutoTest category.

1. Under the AutoTest tab, navigate to the category you want to enable network access for and press the Pencil Button to start editing it.

2. Scroll down and click on the Advanced Options dropdown button.

3. In this menu, deselect the "Network disabled" checkbox and press Save.

Network access is enabled by default in the global- and student setup scripts, you may use this to install new software or download fixtures to your AutoTest configuration.
