Selecting which file to load first during grading

Streamline your grading workflow by selecting which file from your students' submissions you want to load first during grading.

CodeGrade offers the option to select a file from your students' submissions to load first during grading. Selecting this specific file, or a type of file, can streamline your grading workflow while switching between students with large submissions.

  1. Navigate to the "Assignment Management Page" and go to the General tab.

  2. Click on "Advanced options" in the General Settings box.

  3. Type in which file to load first in the "File to load first" field, and press Submit to submit your changes.

Next to selecting specific files or an absolute path (e.g. /assignment1.py or /src/com/codegrade/SudokuSolver.java), you may also define a glob to match which file has to be loaded first. For instance, use **/*.py to match any Python file in any directory, or assignment1.py to open the first file named assignment1.py in any directory.
